We do have some premium teachers at The Cineas Studio. While all of our teachers are held to high standards as professionals and pedagogues, premium teachers are in higher demand. Because of this, we do charge an additional $40 per month for clients working with our premium instructors.

THE CINEAS STUDIO POLICIES

It is recommended that all clients familiarize themselves with The Cineas Studio’s policies. A link to this page is sent out to each client every semester, as well as any updates that take place throughout the semester. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in removal from the studio.

  • Ongoing clients are invoiced on the 25th of the month prior to their lessons. All invoices are due by the 1st of the month. Lessons cannot proceed without payment, and accounts more than three days past due may result in removal from the schedule, with the time slot potentially offered to other clients.

  • The studio operates on a “pay-upon-booking” system to secure time and space for lessons. Appointments and enrollments are only confirmed once payment is received.

  • All ongoing students must complete at least three lessons per month. Students attending fewer than three lessons per month will be charged at “a la carte” rates and will lose their recurring appointment.

  • The studio maintains a no-refund policy, except in special circumstances deemed appropriate at the studio’s discretion.

  • Lessons canceled less than 24 hours in advance will result in forfeiture of the lesson payment and time, except in cases of extreme emergency. Lessons canceled more than 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled if availability permits.

  • Makeup lessons granted due to timely cancellations must be rescheduled and completed within 7 days of the original appointment. After this period, the credit is forfeited. Makeups may be conducted with a teacher other than the student’s primary instructor.

  • Students arriving late to a lesson forfeit the time they missed. Arrivals 15 minutes late or more will result in the forfeiture of the entire lesson without a refund.

  • If a teacher cancels, reschedules, or arrives late, the studio will ensure the client receives all purchased lesson time.

  • Students are considered enrolled for the semester upon completion of their initial payment. To discontinue enrollment, the studio requires a 30-day notice. Failure to provide this notice will result in a ban from future activities until the account is settled.

If you would like to book lessons without committing to ongoing enrollment, please refer to “a la carte” pricing.

  • Students may transfer to another instructor at the beginning of a semester. Mid-semester transfers require studio approval and a 30-day notice.

  • Clients enrolled in piano lessons must provide a consistently available and suitable instrument for practice.

  • Clients must ensure a clean, distraction-free environment for in-home lessons. This includes managing pets, noise levels, and ensuring the workspace allows for loud vocal exercises if applicable.

If the teacher deems the environment unsuitable for instruction, the lesson may be terminated without a makeup or refund.

  • Clients are responsible for maintaining a functional setup for virtual lessons, including stable internet and necessary equipment.

  • Students are encouraged to participate in the studio’s four major annual performances. However, participation is subject to the primary teacher’s recommendation based on the student’s progress and preparation.

Students not completing assigned practice or falling behind may not be invited to perform.

  • Teachers may recommend external opportunities they believe will benefit students. The studio does not take responsibility for student interactions or outcomes with these organizations.

  • Students enrolled in the studio may be included in promotional materials such as social media posts, videos, and flyers, owned by The Cineas Studio.

If you have privacy concerns, please contact the studio administration to discuss accommodations.

  • Your phone number will be used exclusively to send you messages you have opted to receive based on your consent. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

  • Our tuition is “flat rate”. This means that the same amount will be charged every month, regardless of the amount of lessons in the month.

Please note that the cost of the 14 lessons in a semester is evenly distributed across 4 months.

  • As a result of our flat rate system, we do not offer proration for loss of a lesson credit, or inability to attend an appointment.

New clients enrolling for the first time will only be enrolled with 2 lessons remaining in the month (half-off first month), or at the beginning of a month (full price).
